Kairi is a very happy and cheerful young girl. She made her first appearance on Destiny Islands as a very young girl. However, the night she arrived she lost all memory of her origins. Her heart is very strong and she shares a very 'unique' and strong bond with Sora. This will probably prove a key in the near future...

Riku, Sora's best friend and rival, is a very unique guy. He appears to be very mature for the age of 15 and is determined to set off in search for other worlds. Riku has that sort of 'mysterious' feel since he generally doesn't say too much on his mind. However, when he does it tends to have that 'what a bada--' type feel to it, or, your generally left wondering what it is he's truly up to. Overall, Riku's motives seem to contradict Sora's at one point in the game; his actions could very well jeopardize everything Sora has worked for...

Donald is the Royal Magician of Disney Castle. Anyone that has seen him in action in the past is probably aware of his temper and rash decision making. Donald was put in charge, along with Goofy, of locating and protecting the person who wields the 'Key'. Without question, both of them then set out in search for Sora, whom of which they have no idea they are really looking for.

Goofy, Captain of the Royal Knights of Disney Castle, is what some might call the opposite of Donald. He is very happy and polite and attempts to think things through before making a quick decision. He dislikes fighting, thus, uses a shield in combat with no other form of weapon but his wits. He eventually sets of with Donald in search for the one who holds the 'Key'.

Ansem is the big 'badie/bady' in Kingdom Hearts. He's the ultimate bad guy. We learn as the game progresses that Ansem (Heartless form) has devoted his life and purpose to finding and opening Kingdom Hearts, which he believes to hold everlasting Darkness. Ansem also takes a liking to Riku, and attempts to use him in his efforts. He is very smart, and uses his knowledge for his own purposes. One must wonder what he wishes to obtain by opening Kingdom Hearts...
